Gobi Manchurian - Indian style

simple preparation

Gobi  1 - pick the florets
Make  thick batter - besan flour, salt, pepper,chili powder
dip florets in batter and deep fry...
Keep aside...

Grind :

Soak red 10 chillies
Add 4 big garlics (not  4 pods)
Make a chilli garlic paste

Grind 2 tomatoes

Finely chop onions, green capsicum & garlic (as per taste and the amount of gravy required )

Heat a pan
Add oil
Add onions and capsicum
Add 2 green chillies
Once onions are cooked and garlic and leave for 3 seconds
Add 2 tbspn of chilli garlic paste
Add tomato paste
Cook well
Add water(depending upon the amount of gravy required)
Add the fried florets stir well
Remove from flame
Garnish with spring onions and server

In our house it is served with chappathis as thick gravy








sandwich

Bread - Sandwich bread

Apply butter
Toast your bread(optional)
Wash one lettuce leaf and dry it with a kitchen towel and place it on a bread
place couple of thin cut tomato slices
Place one slice of cheese
Place an omlette or  boiled egg cut into slices
Repeat in reverse order and stop with another toasted slice

Serve with tomato sauce


French toast...

This is very easy to make....This is what i learnt to make first...

Bread : Thick cut breads are best  - 1 loaf
Butter
Egg  - 1
milk - 250 ml milk
Sugar - as per taste
Cinnamon powder - if you prefer
Sugar powder - little


Beat the egg well and add the milk.
Add sugar mix well
Keep this batter aside

Heat a pan
Add butter generously
Add a pinch of powder sugar to this


Dip a slice in the batter
and place it in the pan
let it cook in a low flame(very important)
cook till golden brown
and flip the slice and cook again
wait till it cooks
sprinkle some cinnamon (optional)
remove from pan and
place in a plate
serve.......

Easy Mutton pepper fry...

This recipe is the easiest and taste wise my best fav...

Ingredients :

Lamb cut in small pieces - 1/2 kg

Ginger Garlic paste - 1 tbspn

Salt
Garam masala powder - 1/4 tspn

 OR

 whatever whole spices prefer(may be 1 clove,1 cardamom,1small piece of cinnamon)

OR

if you choose to skip spices, thats ok too...

Chilli powder - 1 tbsn or as per taste

Coriander powder- 1 tbsn or as per taste

Pepper - as per taste

Lemon or lime juice - as per taste

Method :

Pressure cook or Pan cook the following :

mutton,ginger garlic paste(apply ginger garlic paste and mix well with hands, squeezing the lamb),salt(little)
and water

Cook until lamb is soft

Once it is cooked,

Heat a pan, add oil ,add garam masala and add the cooked lamb...

If there is any excess water in the lamb after cooking, add that too

add salt

Taste and add salt little by little to suit your taste

add chilli powder and coriander powder

Again taste and add little by little

You can go easy on the chilli powder and put more pepper powder

Let it simmer...

Once most or the water is gone, add little oil and pepper powder and a few drops of lemon juice and

stir fry for a couple of miutes and remove from heat and serve....

Garnish with coriander leaves............

Serve hot with rice,roti,chappathis,dosas,idlis...

Eggs.......... Indian........made yum.........


Omelette :


Ingredients :

  Eggs - 3
  Onion - 1
  Garlic - 1 pod
  Green chili - 1
  Salt - as per taste Or 3 small pinches and a half pinch
  Milk - 1 tbspn 
  Turmeric powder - a pinch - optional
  Butter - 1 spoon

Method :

1.Finely chop the onion
2.Put onion in a bowl and salt to this 
3.Let it sit for a minute
4.Finely chop the green chilli and add this to the  onion and salt in the bowl
5.Now break in the eggs
6.Add milk to this 
7.Add turmeric powder
8.Beat the mixture with egg beater or hold two forks together(facing opposite each other)
9.The harder you beat, fluffier your omelette will be
10.When the egg mixture become easy to pour(the thick consistency of the mixture thins out as you beat), or if you can't figure this out, beat it for a minute
11.Heat a  pan, once it is hot (not smoking hot,just hot) spread the butter
12.Grate the garlic pod into the butter in the pan(if difficult skip this step, just crush the garlic and put it in)
13.wait till the smell of garlic cooking in butter come, then whip the egg mixture a 3 or 4 times and pour it in the pan..
14.Lower the flame to mimimum
15.once one side is cooked, flip and cook again 
16. Once cooked, remove from plate and serve...


1.you can add thiny sliced tomatoes after you have poured the egg mixture...
2.You can add graetd  cheese to the egg mixture.....
3.You can put chopped and cooked mushroom or chicken nuggets in the middle and fold it.....
4.You can stuff it with cheese and ketchup



Boiling eggs :


Fill  a pan with water
Add a tbspn vinegar
Add the eggs
Place the pan in the stove and boil for 15 minutes in medium flame
Better use a flat bottom pan
After 15 mins remove from flame and serve
